In Ectocam, you play as someone whose new job is to capture ghosts by using ecto-cameras. Those are invisible cameras akin to what is used to track wildlife animals. Check your cameras regularly while managing your intern and helping your coworkers.
The game is finished once you have sex with Tsumugi.

I know this game was abandoned but if possible could Iris be bought back in later games? I really enjoyed her character and would like to see more!

I don't know if it's common knowledge or not, but can I go back to previous scene if I accidentally clicked on a dialogue. This is so far my first game of this genre and I'm loving it. I absolutely love the conversations so I feel like I'm just missing out no matter how trivial it might be. Thank you for this masterpiece.
Thanks. I think you’ll easily find way better games. In ectocam, you can’t go back, sorry I didn’t implement this feature.

What if someone took ectocam and began updating it again to finish it.
What would you do and would you tell them about ideas that you never implemented?
Nobody will ever do this… But I’d be happy and I wouldn’t tell them about any ideas as I completely forgot about them ages ago
i also have a question: what does the filter even do? changing the filter setting between none, weak and strong seems to have no effect. and upgrading filter level neither
also why do you have the option to call iris when it is literally never used?
The filter automatically removes some of the “non-ghost” pictures. But it doesn’t matter like most of the ectocam upgrades as I didn’t think this was a good game mechanic. For Iris, maybe I planned something but I don’t remember
got to the point after having sex with tsumugi where nothing new happens.
cow bath is unlocked and visiting daily. no josie scene so far.
keep grinding for money in hopes of getting better ghosts. 1. in hope of sexing isabella. 2. in hopes there's a plot twist and we DO get to find the protag's wife. nothing so far. gotten a $94 ghost once so far. never again. didnt unlock anything.
used the cheat code cause it was getting boring and monotonous to keep grinding. the gallery has a sex scene for josie and isabella. but the scene replay has nothing for them. so i guess a sex scene was initially planned but then not implemented after all? if they are in the gallery then why not make a scene for it?
also why isnt there a ghost gallery? was curious what other ghosts might be out there that i havent gotten yet.
i know the game wont be updated anymore since the "final version" has been released end of may... but would be nice getting those 2 scenes and the ghost gallery.
also maybe an increase of album size/removal of the cap? read in the final version update note that its at 150. that isnt enough for all the girl pics. sure with the cheat code u get em all in the gallery. but for those that dont support on patreon to get the code they wont be able to keep all them goodies.
Yes, there is nothing after Tsumugi, sorry for the useless grinding. I rushed to finish Ectocam as fast as possible because it was far less successful than Chara Cardmaster that I released at the same time. I won’t work on Ectocam anymore but I’ll add a disclaimer in the description to say that the game ends with Tsumugi. Some pictures were added to the gallery at the last minute as a gift to patrons.
Protagonist is an outright creep who actually gets pushback until you just decided that Iris needs to put out damning whatever character she had.
Game feels thoroughly unfinished as well despite the "Final Version" being released, despite all that It's still probably your best game.
I got past the Tsumugi sex thing.

What AI tool are you using for the image generation?
It would be also great to have a small icon that indicates wether you already have an image in the album or not. Like an checkmark. And also a counter that tell you how many images there are left to collect (x/y).
It’s NovelAI You are not meant to collect the pictures. In fact, I think you’re limited to 100 pictures in your album. The checkmark is a good idea, I’ll add something like this.
AI "art" always look generic. It's sad that people keep overusing it.
AI can do a lot of styles but I chose this one
Yeah, but the thing is that on Itch.io alone you can find dozen of "game" that look exactly the same. If you go on a website like Pixiv then it goes in the undred.
All of them look the same, the worst is the lack of detail. The hair of all the character are poorly done, and then there is the lack of symmetry.
Not even talking about the total lack of proportion and morphology.
For exemple the 2st screenshot, the ear dont have the same shape and size. The eyes are not at the same distance from the middle her face. The breast have some big difference, and their shape is... wierd.The 5th screenshot show these probleme even more. The two character's breats look like they comme from difference character, and it is the same for their eyes.
There is a reason why the most well know and respected artist were all extremely knowledgeable about a lot of subject but particulary about human biology. You dont make something as beautifull as Michelangelo's work without all his knowledge.
And an Ai lack the capacity to recognize each part of a body and how it should look depending of the character's position, simply because all it does it copy and mix things depending on what people ask.
Yes, it’s not perfect. I hope that I’ll be able to get better pictures from the AI in the future (it may be because the tool has improved or because I’ve become better at using it)
